Mortgage company winterizes foreclosed homes

Mortgage Company hires contractor “A” to manage winterizing foreclosed homes. Contractor “A” subcontracts the job to contractor “B”. Contractor B breaks into my client’s house takes my clients personal property. Mortgage Company has no relief from Stay issued by the bankruptcy court. My clients had moved out, but still had lot’s of personal belongings in the home that they were moving “piecemeal.” Contractor B changes locks, and puts up flyers indicating place had been winterized by Company “B”. Actual Value of items stolen is approximately $3500 to $5000 and includes wife’s wedding dress, and broken china given to wife by grandmother; and several police officer badges, patches, and body armor. Also taken were many personal photos that can’t be replaced. Attorney for mortgage company has requested we submit a formal demand letter/package.
